Janel Ridlehuber Gonzalez, M.A., CCC-SLP
Janel has provided speech therapy in Austin, TX for over 12 years. She was born and raised in El Paso, TX, graduated in 2001 from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and worked as an assistant speech language pathologist for 3 years under the supervision of Martha Lee Adams. Janel then received a Masters of Science in Communication Disorders from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2006 and returned to Austin to complete her Clinical Fellowship under Martha Lee Adams.
Janel has been practicing pediatric speech therapy in multidisciplinary settings throughout her career and has had experience serving children of all ages with a wide variety of diagnosis and disorders including motor speech/articulation disorders, receptive-expressive language disorders, social-pragmatic language disorders, feeding difficulties, fluency disorders, voice disorders, various syndromes and autism spectrum disorders. She has received training in PROMPT (Intro and Bridging), Stanley Greenspan’s Floor Time, Michelle Garcia-Winner’s Social Thinking, Kaufman Early Intervention program, Hanen (It Takes Two to Talk) Parent Program, MORE: Integrating the Mouth with Sensory and Postural Functions, MNRI Dynamic and Postural Reflex Integration and Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention. She holds certifications in Hanen (ITTT), Interactive Metronome, Integrated Listening Systems (ILS) and is working on gaining PROMPT certification. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language, and Hearing Association and a licensed to practice in the state of Texas.
